When I cooked up my idea for the deck Quicksilver Dagger Thieves’ Guild a long long time ago (early 00’s maybe?) I imagined a sprawling city ruled by ruthless guilds, each guild controlled by a powerful dragon, demon, vampire, or wizard … flash forward to Streets of New Capenna, and WOTC has given us essentially that. I’m still enamored of the idea, and the Ravnica block, Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty, and Streets of New Capenna have only fueled my love of urban-themed Magic decks.
Here, then, are all the decks I’ve designed set in “The City of Brass,” a city with no plane to call home, composed of bits and pieces from many of the urban settings of Magic: The Gathering.
