Something in the Water

Mono-Blue Evasion and Card Draw

Nadir Kraken by Dan Scott

There’s something in the water … but you’ll never see it coming until it’s too late! This deck uses evasion to slip behind enemy ranks, dealing damaging and triggering card draw. Build an army of nibbling fish and wriggling tentacles, or just drag your opponent under with a big blue beast from the bubbling beyond!

Use Dissolve and Sleep with the Fishes to control early threats while you build your army of slippery sneaks. Callaphe protects both your creatures and the auras enchanting them, making your crew that much more pernicious. Use Halimar Depths and scry abilities to stack the top of your deck and optimize your card draw triggers. Nadir Kraken gives value (aka Tentacles!) in exchange for card draw, and the threat of Reservoir Kraken can keep your opponent hopping between equally undesirable choices.

Callaphe shines in this mono-blue deck, especially piled with counters and evasion from Security Bypass. Use her to finish, or just chip away with unblockable fish and rogues, maybe with a boost from Octopus Umbra. Juicy!
