Black/Green/Blue Control, Removal, and Monarch Theme
I love the menacing, melancholy feel of Card Kingdom’s Battle Deck Looming Gloom and wanted to create something that would evoke a similar mood. My decks Mirror Maze and Court of Shadows are my homage to that lush, distinctly Sultai flavor.
Use Mythos of Brokkos to get Marchesa’s Decree and the Court cards into your hand. Courtly Provocateur will entice your opponent’s creatures into the waiting arms and pitiless gazes of your Gorgons or you can send Ochran Assassin in to clear the way. Ukkima, Cazur, Ikra, and Rogue’s Passage have nice synergy for evasive damage and combat damage triggers.
You might wonder why Spring-Leaf Avenger is in this deck? I have a new policy of putting one random Ninja with the ninjutsu ability into any deck that has room for another card. I just like springing random Ninjas on my opponent ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
