Counteroffer

Green/White/Blue Counter and Control

Polymorphist’s Jest by Craig J Spearing

Nice spell you have there … but perhaps I can offer a better alternative? How about a white elephant? Swarm of frogs? Unspeakable horror dripping with life-destroying oil? How about a bunch of cute little piggies?

Counteroffer replaces everything your opponent does with a slew of easy-to-kill tokens instead of whatever garbage spells they meant to cast. Tokens are definitely better, anyway. To sweeten the deal, bring out your Suture Priests first. Then, not only does your opponent get useless tokens, but they also get to lose life! What a bargain!

If you’re starting to feel like your generosity has gone too far and maybe your opponent has too many tokens, bring out Ratchet Bomb and immediately blow it up. No charge counters necessary; since tokens have no mana cost, 0 counters on Ratchet Bomb = 0 tokens left in play. Or enchant Engulfing Slagwurm with Lure and send it in to devour your opponent’s entire team – and pump you up with life! There’s an offer no one can refuse!
